- Wrestling icon Mick Foley made his first TNA Wrestling in-ring appearance and talked about leaving the WWE and some of the reasons he wanted to come to TNA! However, Foley was interrupted by an angry Kurt Angle. Before the broadcast ended, Foley dropped a bombshell by telling Angle he will be the special guest enforcer for the Jarrett vs. Angle match at "Bound For Glory" on October 12 in Chicago!

The Daily Star posted an interview with Kurt Angle today. He addressed a number of topics including what he'll do when his TNA contract expires next year (next September), his thoughts on Shawn Michaels, Triple H & Vince McMahon, TNA making his match at Hard Justice with AJ Styles last month "complex," and more.

His plans when his TNA contract expires: "When my contract comes up I'm going to be doing some MMA, so there it is straight up. At present I am leaning toward TNA, but I will choose whatever company is in my best interests."

How he will make his decision: "My decision will rely on how I feel about the company, and I feel pretty good right now about TNA. It comes down to where I feel I am able to fill the greater purpose. Right now TNA is the better way to go, I like being the top guy here and helping them grow."

If he'd return to WWE: "If I did go back, which is a very slim chance, my schedule would be a lot less. I just can't do it, I've wrestled twenty two years in amateur wrestling and eight as a pro. It just won't happen."

Kurt Angle was interviewed this week by the UK Sun and says he can "almost guarantee" he'll be fighting in the UFC next year. "I’m talking to several fight companies about doing MMA by the end of next year - 2009. I’m going to cross over to the MMA world for a while but I want to end up back in TNA and back in wrestling. I’ve always wanted to do it. I’m the only Olympic gold medallist that will enter the Octagon and it feels right for me. I can almost guarantee you’re going to see me in the Octagon."

Angle added, “It depends on which company gives me the best deal. I’m getting offers from the UFC, Pro Elite XC, Affliction and the IFL. It really comes down to who is going to give me the best deal and which fight would be best for me."

Angle makes it clear that even though MMA is something he's determined to do, he's "The important thing is that whatever I do outside of TNA – I want to represent TNA and do well. God-willing, I’ll walk away successful and I can come away from MMA saying ‘I did it’ and go back to my professional wrestling routes.”

UFC president Dana White stated in an interview this summer that Angle's neck injury "scares the shit out of me." White stated that Angle is a friend, but his comments thus far indicate that he doesn't seem to be taking Angle's interest in MMA seriously.

SLAM! Wrestling has an article on Kurt Angle saying he prefers pro wrestling to MMA.

"In wrestling, there’s a story in every match. In MMA, you cannot tell that story," Angle said. "There is not story in a 'shoot' fight -- you either get knocked out, choked out, tapped out, or you make it and the referee decides who wins by decision. It becomes very difficult to tell a story in a worked shoot." Angle believes the unpredictability makes MMA less appealing than pro wrestling. "I believe pro wrestling will always be around," Angle said. "People like to lose that touch of reality for a couple of hours and watch the show and have fun. Going out there, and cutting a promo, or heeling in a match and the crowd are booing you, and they’re becoming emotionally involved -- that's what makes it fun. Wrestling's a beautiful art. I’m a big MMA fan, and I think wrestling's way better."
